Instead of the traditional Secret Santa when colleagues buy 'secret' gifts for one another, this year we've opted to get behind an appeal to provide toys and gifts for children spending Christmas with their families in one the City's homeless centres.

As we approach Christmas, there are nearly 500 families with children living in emergency homeless centres provided by Birmingham City Council and they need help! At this time of year staff arrange parties with games, party food, and Father Christmas visits to give each child a present with their name on.

We understand that it’s a challenging time for everyone with the cost of living crisis, however the centres are seeking donations of new toys for children of all ages from new born up to 16 years of all genders. They would love to receive a range of toys, games, books, jigsaws and dolls.

No need to wrap the gift as that will be done by the centre staff who know the families and will be able to match the gifts to the children.

If you, your friends and family or your workplace would like to support this campaign, your gifts will need to be dropped off at an address in Perry Barr by Monday 12 December. Unfortunately due to lack of space since our move, BVSC is unable to receive your donations at our offices.

The drop-off address cannot be posted publicly but it is available on a need to know basis by emailing Helen Cobain, [email protected], or phone 0121 678 8830.

Thank you!
