New Community Leadership E-learning Platform launched by BVSC

BVSC has launched a new E-learning platform as part of the Community Leadership Training Programme. This new online mode of delivery will allow more individuals to take part in the programme, and at a time, space and pace that suits them.

The Community Leadership Training programme was introduced early in 2023 as a partnership between BVSC And Birmingham City Council to upskill current or aspiring community leaders across the City. Sessions have been delivered face-to-face and online and we have now developed an E-learning platform which will allow online learning at a time to suit the participant.

Who can take part?

Any current or aspiring community leaders can take part in the FREE e-learning proramme, including those who have previously attended either online or face-to-face sessions.

For those who have accessed the programme before, doing the programme via the e-learning should be seen as an opportunity to remind and reinforce the learning you experienced first time.

New BVSC training around mental health and safeguarding introduced for autumn 2023

At the Active Wellbeing Society, we use surplus food in our cafes and our outreach food truck, and we also coordinate the Food Justice Network - a group of nearly 300 food projects across Birmingham supporting those in need and campaigning to end food poverty, inequality and injustices. However, recently, surplus food has been harder to come by, and so we are looking for new ways to strengthen our supply.
