Access support from local businesses in Birmingham or Solihull through Match My Project What is Match My Project? Match My Project is a digital platform that provides a meeting point for local businesses and the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) Sector in Birmingham or Solihull. The platform is a database of hundreds of projects that require support. It enables businesses and the VCFSE sector to find ‘matches’ of projects that they can potentially co-deliver to achieve social impact in local communities. Why is the VCFSE sector in Birmingham and Solihull being encouraged to join Match My Project? Birmingham City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council already utilise Match My Project as part of their service and procurement processes. Now BSol ICS has begun using Match My Project as the primary channel through which suppliers deliver their social value commitments. Social Value is a term used to describe the positive improvement an organisation delivers to society. All NHS organisations must explicitly evaluate social value when procuring products and services. Match My Project will be promoted to NHS suppliers to enable them to support community projects in the coming months. What is the Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care System? Originally created as part of the NHS’s Long-Term Plan, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) became legal entities in July 2022, and there are 42 ICSs covering the whole of England. BSol ICS is a partnership of health and care organisations, local government and the VCFSE sector - all working in collaboration to improve population health, tackle health inequalities, enhance productivity and help the NHS support broader social and economic development. BSol ICS serves 1.3 million people living across the city and borough and is working together to deliver a vision for Birmingham and Solihull to be the healthiest place to live and work, driving equity in life chances and health outcomes for everyone.
