This year, we have decided to make access for those working at voluntary organisations slightly easier. So VSSN members and anyone from a voluntary organisation can book at the member rate.

The conference fee includes: refreshments, lunch, the delegate pack, and the conference dinner is also included with the two day ticket.

Our plenary speakers include Dr Sanjiv Lingayah (Independent researcher, writer & consultant), Dr Carol Jacklin-Jarvis (Open University), Joy Warmington (brap), Dr Chris Pietroni (University of Birmingham), Lela Kogbara (Black Thrive). There will be over 50 papers across a variety of research streams, and plenty of opportunity for networking and connecting. We are still planning on a face to face conference, with lots of room built in for distancing, and spaces for people to take a break if they need to. However, if the government guidance changes, we will refund conference funds, and move to an online conference at a reduced rate

As part of its commitment to new researchers, VSSN subsidises much of the cost of attending the New Researchers Session.  For those who have already submitted to attend the NRS for the two days is £100; this includes registration, lunch and refreshments and the conference dinner.

Please note:

  • you must be a member of VSSN, or represent a voluntary organisation to receive the subsidised rate (membership of VSSN starts at £35 and includes lots of great benefits: https://www.vssn.org.uk/join/)
  • there is no early bird rate for the NRS
  • the fee does not include accommodation or travel
