This online information session is for you if you are running a small voluntary group in Birmingham, UK and would like to know more about Assets of Community Value (ACV) and Community Asset Transfers (CAT).

This event is taking place on zoom on Tuesday 18 June from 6.30pm to 8pm.

We're pleased to be hosting this informal event with NDSU (Neighbourhood Development and Support Unit) team from Birmingham City Council, Save Birmingham and Locality.

During this event we will:

  • Demystify Assets of Community Value (ACV) and Community Asset Transfers (CAT).
  • Explore the two different processes that are available to communities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations across Birmingham. They can make it easier for buildings and places of significance in local communities to be kept in public ownership.
  • Share examples of successful ACV applications and transfers of community assets.

You can read about ACVs in our blog post: Understanding Assets of Community Value.

How to register

Register using Eventbrite - we’ll ask you a few simple questions about your voluntary community. We’ll email you details of how to access the Zoom call nearer the time.

If closer to the time you cannot attend please email us at [email protected] to let us know. This will allow us to allocate your place to someone else.

Thank you for helping us to manage our limited resources

Thanks to our funders, the National Lottery Community Fund and the Barrow Cadbury Trust, and volunteers, this event is free for you to attend. If you sign up and later find you can’t make it, that’s no problem - please let us know, though, so we can allocate your space to someone else. Thank you for helping us to help as many people as we can.
