BVSC is currently undertaking a consultation on how to provide capacity building support for BAME communities around Health Inequalities. Initial conversations have clearly established that a one size fits all approach doesn’t work. Birmingham has different communities, with differing organisations that require different types of support.

Our intention is to offer grant funding to organisations to purchase the support they want and need. However, we need to talk to you to understand how we might best organise this process and if there are other ways in which we might support you to get what you need.

This meeting will be two hours long, and look at the practicalities of accessing infrastructure support under a new model. If you work in a VCSE organisation that specifically supports one of Birmingham’s BAME organisations we would like you to take part. The meeting will be for two hours, and will take place over Zoom.

*We recognise that BAME as a generic term is often not appreciated by the communities it is meant to identify and there will opportunity to discuss this within the consultation.

Please note this is an online event which will be held on Zoom. The link will be sent to participants by email prior to the event taking place.
