Charities and voluntary groups can collect free donations when their volunteers and supporters shop online with 4200 well known retailers including Amazon, eBay, Argos, John Lewis, Trainline, Booking.com, Currys, Aviva and Waitrose and Direct Line. It’s a simple and free way for people to support your organisation through their normal online shopping and provides you with ongoing revenue without needing to ask for ‘donations’. Birmingham based charity The Boparan Charitable Trust only began using easyfundraising in August and are already benefitting from free funding. Events and Fundraising Manager Kayleigh Biggs explains more: “We read about easyfundraising in the BVSC newsletter. We are unable to hold fundraising events at the moment, so we were looking for alternative fundraising opportunities to help us continue to support disadvantaged children across the UK.” They now have five people supporting them through their online purchases by shopping with retailers including Argos, Dunelm and Holland & Barrett. “We used the free marketing tools in the ‘Promote My Cause’ area of the easyfundraising site to let our supporters to know how they can use raise money for us this way. We have sent info out in our monthly newsletter and promoted it on our social media. “My tip for other organisations is quite simply to speak to your supporters directly and ask them to sign-up – once they are, it’s a very low maintenance way of generating income for your charity.” Register your organisation with easyfundraising here easyfundraising are hosting a free webinar to explain how it works, help you get started and answer any questions.
