Working with Volunteers

If you are an organisation wanting to involve volunteers in your work, Volunteer Centre Birmingham can help you. Use the menu on the right to:

  • Advertise your volunteering opportunities with us by registering your organisation.  We can then promote your volunteer opportunities to the people that contact us (in 2010 we handled over 15,800 enquiries from people looking for volunteer positions), helping you find the right person for your opportunity.
  • Find out more about recruiting and managing volunteers and developing your internal policies and procedures by downloading our useful factsheets.
  • Join the Volunteering Network of the Third Sector Assembly to find out how you can network with other volunteer involving organisations.
  • Request a Volunteer Team to help you with any one-off practical projects.

If you would like to encourage the public to attend forum meetings, join user groups or are looking for public members it may be possible to include a link to your website on Be Involved.  Please contact consultation@birmingham.gov.uk or 0121 675 4476 for more information.

If you would like to speak to someone in more detail about how BVSC can support you in working with volunteers, please contact us on volunteerbirmingham@bvsc.org or call us on 0121 678 8839.
