This training is provided by the Somali Development Group. The aim of the course is to give participants an understanding of general Somali culture and Somali Diaspora. This includes discussing how Somali's come to the UK, how they are settling in, issues that they face, reasons for high unemployment, the gaps between youths and their parents, the history of the country and more.

This session will explain how to do this safely within the law, without ending up in an Employment Tribunal.

This training session covers two areas of law. First, it will explain how to manage the transfer of employees when your organisation merges, restructures, or takes on contracts from the public sector. It will cover your duties both to the new employees and to your existing employees, what information you must obtain before the transfer, what employment liabilities you will be taking on, what documentation is needed, and how to comply with the complex law in this area. It will also cover employees’ rights both in transfers and redundancies.
