Join BVSC
By joining BVSC your organisation will become part of Birmingham’s premier third sector support and influence organisation.
There are many benefits of BVSC membership. As well as keeping right up-to-date with information for and about your sector you will have the opportunity to be fully involved with BVSC’s work and will be able to have a say in how BVSC is run.

Membership of BVSC is free and straightforward via the Third Sector Database.
Just click the Apply for Membership link at the bottom of the page.
At the end of the registration process the database generates a pdf form which you will be asked to download and print off. You will be asked to sign and return this along with:
- A copy of your constitution or rules
- A reference from an organisation you work with
Don’t worry if your organisation is new and doesn’t have this information yet – you can still get provisional membership which gives you the time to get the documents together.
You will also be asked to accept BVSC’s vision, values and mission.

Applications for membership will be approved by the BVSC Board of Trustees who meet every two months. You will be notified when your application has been approved.
Membership runs for two years after which organisations are requested to renew.
Who can join?
Member organisations must be part of the voluntary or third sector including social enterprises and to join your organisation must:
- Be independent
- Not seek profit for its members
- Have a constitution or agreed set of rules
- Have a voluntary governing body
- Provide activities aimed at wider community/communities in and around Birmingham
- Sign up to BVSC's vision, values and mission
