Who is the website in a box service intended for?
The website in a box service is ideally suited to smaller organisations, organisations with a limited budget or organisations who do not require complex bespoke websites.
Can the website in a box service be customised to our specific needs?
The website in a box service is flexible and can be customised to an extent. However any extra features are charged at our standard rate of £35 per hour inc VAT.
Can we pay for extra development time, training or support?
Yes, certainly at a cost of £35 per hour inc VAT
Can we add other features to our website once it has been launched?
Yes you can. There are hundreds of free add ons which extend the functionality of your website. You can install these yourself, or we can charge you for installation and configuration at our standard rate.
Is there a limit to the amount of content we can add to the website?
No, there is no limit, you can add as much or as little as you require.
Will the website be easy for non-technical people to update?
The websites we create are very easy for non-technical people to update, training and support is provided.
Will we be tied into a long term contact for ongoing services?
No, our hosting and domain renewal services are sold on an annual basis. You can cancel at any time. All we ask is that you provide us 30 days notice. Hosting and domain registration fees are non refundable in the event of cancelation
Are there any extra licensing fees or hidden extras?
No, because we use free software * we can promise that there will be no licensing fees ever! If you require extra functionality we will be upfront about how much this will cost you.
Can I use our existing domain name (Internet address) with your service?
Yes, certainly. Please get in touch with us to find out more.
Can I move my website in a box to another web host?
Yes, as long as the new host meets certain technical requirements (PHP and MYSQL support). BVSC however do not give any technical support to websites not hosted on BVSC's servers.
How can you create a fully featured content managed website for only £999?
We use a flexible system to create your customised website very quickly, therefore the cost will much less than that a completely bespoke website.

Our services come with support of a whole team within BVSC. This provides expertise and experience that freelance consultants can’t match. This mixture of strong web development skills backed by community development expertise and strategic support make our services a unique offering!
Is there a limit to the type of content we can have on our website?
We have zero tolerance for SPAM, pornography, material which is hateful or promotes discrimination of any type. Any client who deliberately contravenes these guidelines will have their service suspended and removed from BVSC’s servers.In the event ofaccount suspension no refund will be given.

Who is the bespoke website development service intended for?
Our bespoke development service is intended for organisations who wish to have a website planned and built to their exact specifications. We build our bespoke sites using the content management system Drupal. Organisations who also require websites with complex functionality will need bespoke development.
How do you make sure that we get the website we need?
Bespoke websites require careful planning in order for them to meet client’s objectives. Therefore we spend a lot of time helping organisations to indentify what they need from a website before any design or development takes place.
Do we have to sign a contract?
Yes, all our bespoke website development customers are required to sign a contract before work begins on their website. The contract sets out what BVSC and the client organisation can expect from each other. Download a sample contract.
Will we be tied into a long term contact for ongoing services?
No, our hosting and domain renewal services are sold on an annual basis. You can cancel our hosting service at any time. All we ask is that you provide us 30 days notice. Hosting and domain registration fees are non refundable in the event of cancelation.
If you build our website can we use our own web host?
Yes, however, we do not give any technical support to websites that are not hosted on our own servers. We cannot guarantee that websites that we create will work on other hosting companies servers.
Can I move my website to another web host?
Yes, as long as the new host meets certain technical requirements (PHP and MYSQL support). However BVSC does not offer technical support for websites not on our servers.
Do you offer features such as email mailboxes and web statistics?
Yes we offer email mailboxes with all our hosting packages. All packages also include web statistic software. BVSC recommends the use of Google Analytics, which can be integrated into our websites very easily.
Once the website is finished can we pay for extra development time, training or support?
Yes you can. We charge £35 per hour inc VAT for extra development, support or training. You might also like to consider taking out a support contract for your website which gives a guaranteed level of support. Find out more by downloading a sample support contract.
Can we add other features to our website once it has been launched?
Yes you can. The Drupal CMS is very extensible. There are thousands of free add on plugins which extend the functionality of your website. If you are technically minded you can install these yourself. Alternatively we can do this for you (this is chargeable).
Is there a limit to the amount of content we can add to the website?
No, there is no limit, you can add as much or as little as you require.
Will the website be easy for non-technical people to update?
The websites we create are very easy for non-technical people to update. We customise Drupal so that it is extremely easy to use. Training is also provided.
Drupal is a free software package that allows an individual, organisation or a community of users to easily publish, manage and organise a wide variety of content on a website. Tens of thousands of people and organisations use Drupal to power many different type of web sites.

No, because we use open source (free) software we can promise that there will be no licensing fees ever! If you require extra functionality we will be upfront about how much this will cost you.
